“HIP-HOP HISTORY MONTH”
The Universal Zulu Nation calls on the World to recognize
the whole month of November as HIP-HOP HISTORY MONTH!

The official birthday of the Universal Zulu Nation is November 12, 1973.
The official birthday of Hip-Hop is November 12th, 1974.

With consideration to the above mentioned dates, nothing makes more sense than to
celebrate Hip-Hop culture and it's history during November, which is exactly what the
Universal Zulu Nation has been doing for over 30 + years. November is also significant in the
fact that it kicks off the "indoor jam season". The Hip-Hop community jams, enjoyed outdoors
in the parks, throughout the Summer, had to move indoors for about 7 months to community
centers, gymnasiums, schools etc. for the Fall and Winter seasons. The Hip-Hop World
should recognize this month and pay tribute to those who laid the foundation and paved the
way as well as to those who continue to preserve the rich tradition of the culture.

A Little Background Information: In the early years of the culture, the movement went
untitled until Afrika Bambaataa, coined it "Hip-Hop", which was a term originally created by
“Love bug Starski” which he used in his rhymes. In the 70's, ten years prior to it's gaining
global recognition, Hip-Hop was a celebration of life gradually developing each of it's elements
to form a cultural movement. Due to it's energy, dynamics, and momentum, Hip-Hop culture
has become, ultimately, a key to upliftment and reformation, as well as a billion-dollar industry.

From the 80's on, the Rap industry and media have helped to make the terms "Hip-Hop" and
"Rap" synonymous, leaving out the other elements included in the culture. In light of this
enormous oversight, the Universal Zulu Nation promotes the "5th element" of Hip-Hop, which
is KNOWLEDGE, and actively tries to educate the masses about the history and foundational
elements of true Hip-Hop culture.

Zulu North Community Center

The Z.N.C.C in general is a Hip Hop recreational, social and educational spot serving our members in various ways.
Monthly Membership contributions are required. With continued focus on independant trueschool activities.
Other activities are hosted at the Z.N.C.C. example; renting for martial arts / Knowledge based classes etc...

Our mission remains to to build an inclusive community that celebrates the strength of diversity. It is a
home for individuals of all backgrounds to grow and to learn, expand and deepen their connections creatively
Rooted in trueschool values, Our social, educational, and recreational programs offer multiple pathways into
the richness of arts for members of all ages.

Through its partnerships and programs, the institution seeks to improve the quality of creativity
& life in our neighborhoods. The Z.N.C.C offers a diversity of programs, from arts to fitness,
Each year the organization produces "Hip Hop Attraction" a lively event presenting an interesting,
innovative display of Musicians, Dancers, Authors, Speakers, Artist and others.

The Z.N.C.C is currently restricted to member only.

OCCUPATION: Capital Architect & Director.
Head of Zulu Northern chapter.
TRX-V Capital Architect and Founder of the Stylordz Hip Hop Network. As well as the Zulu Nations Northern chapter. Was introduced to Hip Hop culture during and between 1980-1982 while visiting his father and older brother in brooklyn." Also witnessing Elemental Battles live for the first time by local parties. In Montreal 1984 a friend (Josheph Car & Chris Norvel) and he would breakdance and rabble-rouse; Josheph's dad use to hold basemnt reggae parties etc... Trx would assist Josheph as he would build boom box stereos and moped bikes during spare time. listening to the Fat Boys, soul sonic force etc... still hip hop wasnt the main focus. It wasnt untill: grade 8 numerous 2 on 2 dance battle with friend (Sean Royal), Learning the windmill from(Brian Goupil), and in scarborough grade 9 lunch and afterschool watching freestyle ryme and dance from local crews such as (Up 2 Par etc..) a friend (Sam) at Cedrebra high school in scarborough gave me a book on hip hop which altered my direction ever since, It was from this book my intrest increased. From this book I have learned about the zulu nations contribution and history.The 5th element. Here is the beginning of Stylordz (at the root level). Why Hip Hop? because of its various avenues of expression; and Growth potential. Comeing from a background of conflict and isolation. Society, Family, Church, School? What ever! Deviation, silence, depth as well as action and innovations is what Trx was about. Use to being transferd from school to school and city to city during youth (But only; Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton. + frequent trips to NYC, Jamacia & Miami) allowed him to meet many Hip Hoppers all over. Over the years people would wonder and ask why not follow the flow of the market place? The fact is; with the exception of the Kazzer & W.Y.S project. He have never approached a record label, No Demos sent, no emails nor Phone calls. The Stylordz Path has always been dependant on the essence of true school hip hop in which record labels do not specialize. The Stylordz Hip Hop Center now Re- Opening at a central location where members can develope, channel, advance, practice. As well as centralizing our already avaliable services. This is a unique situation and pivot point members of this organization. Hip Hop Attraction is the Canadian celebration of Hip Hop History Month held the last week of November every Year. A member of THe Universal Zulu Nation council with host the event Yearly. Here the essence of the Zulu North project will first be displayed.
